BBC Radio Wales, through social media, has been encouraging people in Wales to sing The Welsh National Anthem from their doorsteps to show support for Key Workers on Easter Monday at 8pm.

I've been trying to find a link for this but failing at the moment.

The weeks are flying by our support is the best way of showing all the workers how much they are appreciated <3

MotownGal Report 10 Apr 2020 10:33

A few more last night, than the week before.

Also a lot of whistling and banging of saucepans. :-D

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 10 Apr 2020 10:59

Yes I did it again!
This time I thought I would try something more noisy than my hands ....

I used a plastic sweetener jar with coins in and shook it like mad.
Well it worked great until the top came off and the coins flew into the front lawn :-D :-D :-D

I could see most of my near neighbours and hear others further up and down my street. Waving to newer neighbours I've never met before<3.
Lots of horns hooting too

JoyLouise Report 10 Apr 2020 11:09

A few more here too, Maddie.

My neighbour and I clapped very loudly as we both have rellies who work in critical care as well as others who are essential and key workers.

It's the first time I shed a few tears thinking of everyone. <3

Then along comes Jem to cheer me up. :-D

Filthy lucre! :-D

JemimaFawr Report 10 Apr 2020 11:20

Aw thanks Joy <3

My first cousin's daughter and her husband are both Ambulance Paramedics. She has just qualified. A very worrying time for her family
They have a small daughter not yet 3.

MotownGal Report 10 Apr 2020 12:08

I don't know about anyone else. But when I clap along with everyone else, I get very emotional.

I stand at the window with tears streaming down my face. :-)
