Sharron

Sharron Report 1 Dec 2018 20:37

OH had a fall when he was working last week and has taken the time off, in fact he really doesn't want to work any more.

Anyway, this fall bruised his ribs and he has a most amusing black eye that looks like a monocle tee-hee-hee!

Now I am wondering if he might not have sustained some brain damage.as well. That advertisement for the new Dyson hairdryer has been on the television and he was quite intrigued by it and looked up the price which is something in the region of four hundred pounds.

Now, I have a perfectly serviceable hairdryer that probably cost about twenty quid a good few years ago and he asked me if I wanted a £400 Dyson one for Christmas.

He's probably hoping you'll say No. Say Yes, and see if he goes back to work :-D

Really, I would quite like him to stop working as well. Then I won't have to make my own cup of tea during the day.

When I took a tumble in Tesco's, (on a bit of banana believe it or not!) my concussion 'appeared' over a week after I'd hit my bonce!
In fact it slowly manifested and hit it's 'height' nearly 2 weeks later :-S

Sharron Report 1 Dec 2018 22:35

It's all in the accident book but it won't just be a sore head he suffers from if I catch him spending that sort of money on a bloody hairdryer!

Caroline Report 1 Dec 2018 22:37

A concussion is not a funny thing I know, and yes it can get worse as time goes on. He should get checked out just to be sure, no harm done being safe. The hairdryer would have to be made of gold for me to spend that much on it LOL.
Get him checked out and signed off sick if need be....making cups of tea is allowed whilst recovering.

Fully agree, Caroline!
Sharron, if he's got that much 'spare' dosh, I'd be making a list of other potential Christmas presents if I were you.

Didn't his boss send him to be checked out at the hospital when he fell.By law if anyone has an accident at work no matter how minor they have to get checked over.

I once keeled over at work(office)didn't hurt myself but the boss got one of the colleagues to take me over to the hospital.

He needs e-rays and ct scan on his head.

He works freelance.

He is over the surgery in the morning, he will have to mention it there. If he gets me one of those hairdryers you can guarantee he will risk a fractured skull.

Sharon no breaking skulls just break both legs....then he can't work for a few months.

You can have post concussive syndrome, I did some years back after I fell on the ice. It can linger a bit, lightheadedness, not feeling right etc Hope he will remember to mention the fall to the doctor.

Hi Sharron, I was wondering which dressing you were going to use :-D

Knowing Sharon,it will be one round his arms and legs to stop him either running off or hitting the wall.
