Have just watered in the plants Ros set today, watered all the pots and greenhouse. I can smell chicked curry. One that Ros does better than me. !!! I'm a roast and veg. man. amongst other things.

Have a good rest Jane and Cris. see you when you return.

Shirl, She won't find Canada or SCOTLAND> they wern't good enough to get throught to the Finals. Don't you dare poke pins in my efegy !!!!!! Love you really.

I might send you a postcard again to share Mel.
OH just said he has Blackleg on one of the potato plants.I hope it doesn't spread to the others. We only have 2 tomato plants, thats very unusual for us.
It's sooo quiet here without you know who and so tidy lol.No ,bed ,toys or food dishes messing up the place.
It is a beautiful evening and my tummy is rumbling in anticipation of Fish and Chips.Yum Yum.But we have to wait until Hannah gets in from work.I don't know which shop to get them from....such a dilema!!
Years ago I remember the excitement in the village when the fish and chip van came once a week. The queue was so long and the van parked at the Post Office which must have been about half a mile away.Dad would go for them and me and my sister would wait looking out the window to see him hurrying down the road. The plates would be ready waiting and knives and forks in hand lol

Evening All,

Been stuck with no internet connection since yesterday. It seems the antivirus I had installed is prone to this so I have had to change it.

Having looked at Red Kites on google I think they are more like the bird I saw Frank. I know they have been seen about 5 miles away so it makes sense. OH is having just the same trouble as you in bed with his ribs!! Not too bad in the day if he doesn't sneeze or cough, but as soon as he lies down another story!! He's just taken some painkillers!!.

Jane I hope you have a lovely time next week and that the weather holds up..........get some piccies for us if you can........love to see different places.

Second attempt tonight to watch the 2010 dvd tonight!! We were all settled to see it last night, opened the cover and the library had forgot to put it in the case!

David.....you made me chuckle.....I thought you meant the Grim Reaper!! lol

I made a nice apricot chocolate cake yesterday.......no butter or flour in it, so I could tell myself it was good for me. lol Liquidised apricots, ground almonds and eggs mostly.....and cocoa!!

Hi Ann,glad you are back .It's a b****r when you have no internet isn't it.
Well I am stuffed now.Fish and Chips were delicious.2 Large Cod and normal chips and a Jumbo Sausage and chips for Hannah .Very reasonable at £10.50 I thought.I will go there again. It is only a couple of minutes away .Belvoir Drive.Frank will know where.

That cake sounds tasty Mandy and so did your Pizza .What toppings did you have?

Still here !Morning All.
Am just up to get a cuppa and to see Hannah off.She has been asked by a journalist friend if she would like to do a review on a Health Spa!!!! So she is off to a rather looking posh one in Shropshire ,will be staying overnight too.Lucky thing.I don't know what treatments she will be having. Also she can take a friend. It is for Look Magazine.
It was a clear blue sky earlier but there are some clouds appearing now.I just have to go to Tes** before we leave about 10.30 as I forgot to buy a cool bag yesterday.
I will peek in once more before I go so BBL

Jane

Jane Report 12 Jun 2010 09:22

Right thats Tes** done.OH has just got up!!!!!
I will have the map Mandy ,but we will have sat nav and a print out too lol.I'd rather just ask someone the way if we got lost. But I say no more on the matter lol.
I don't think I would fancy a Health Spa I would enjoy a massage but couldn't be doing with being wrapped in mud or whatever.Hannah is doing the Package called Fire and Ice.I assume they will have some kind of heat therapy and then there is something called the Ice Cave which has real snow falling and stalagmites etc.I have no idea what they do in there but it does say it's not for the faint hearted lol No doubt we shall hear all about it.

Good Morning Campers Hi Di HI!

Another glorious day here in Devon with big white fluffy clouds in a deep blue sky and plenty of sunshine.

Hope Jane has a good journey today to Suffolk. I used to live quite near where she is going.

It would be nice if Jane took her laptop with her and then she could pop in inthe evenings and tell us where they went and what they did!

Mel, Blow some of that blue sky up here Please, Rather overcast but warm. Not sure what we are in for today.

Ros is having her diabetis check on her eyes this morning. They put drops in the eyes and make them very large, she won't be allowed to drive for two hours. So her friend has taken her, then they will do the usual Sat. morning thing, and she will drop her off later.

Thinking of doing the lawns, but have changed my mind. See how they are Mon/Tues. Green Thu# is coming Friday. so can't cut after Tuesday, or again till three days after the lawn treatment. Never know one of my Son's may come and offer to do it. SOME HOPE.!!!!!

Enjoy your weekend, see you later.

Morning All,

It's a bit windy and patches of cloud and sun here. Hope Jane has a good journey and gets snapping with her camera when she's there!

Mel, Shirl....I have e-mailed the cake recipe.

We got the other piece of trellis yesterday.......at the garden centre where the old boy always gives me a discount. lol This time he charged me the price for a smaller size and delivered it free an hour later.....can't grumble at that can I. Some old boys are good chaps aren't they Frank!! lol I see Jane's parting shot is telling you to behave......so you better had!!

Off to hold a paint pot for OH now.....he's painting the top of the arbour and has nowhere he can put it down.

Annx

Annx Report 12 Jun 2010 14:57

I love the picture of Katie in her pretty sundress Amanda.....lovely bright colours.

I've just weeded the greenhouse and some of the border and pulled some old lettuce up and am sweltering now and had to glug some fizzy pop. Funny we always called it pop years ago, now I tend to say lemonade or whatever it is. I found some Vim*o in Sain*burys the other day.......I shall enjoy that! OH has gone out painting the fence again.......he is working so hard .........think it might be because he knows he's going to be watching a lot of footie over the next few weeks!!! His side is still painful but improving.

I remember when I was aged about 9 wondering how my mother kept her permed hair so neat. It was straight for about 3 inches with a parting one side, then a 'brim' of perm all the way around. I used to hate the smell of the perming lotion when she did it. She had those curved things that were sprung like bulldog clips with interlocking spikes for putting waves in your hair, but they scraped your scalp when you put them in and were impossible to rest your head on at night. At that age I decided I didn't want to grow up if it meant all that palaver!!!! lol,lol

Annx Report 12 Jun 2010 16:34

Have e-mailed you Mandy. Fingers crossed on the rose......you might soon know what it is after all this time!

OH keeps joining things and putting my name down too on some of them. We are now on the patients forum at the local doctors, he's joined something to do with the police and there is something else I can't remember now......what with these and following his football team in the winter, I just hope he leaves some time to help me do the housework!!!! lol
