Hello everyone

We've taken a look at all the information, many thanks for that, and pieced it together with what we already know. This has raised a few more questions, but it looks like it all fits!

We have the following emigrating to the USA.

Amelia Newton, nee Murray. Born 1901. Emigrated 1927/8 with her son, William Newton, born 1920. Amelia moved to Florida after her husband died, and lived to the age of 1999. One part of the family has a photo of her as a hat model.
John (Jack) Newton. Born 1898. Emigrated 1925/1929?
Lived in Chicago, Cook County, as shown in the 1930 US Census.

Does anyone know how we can find out exactly where they lived? (We don't expect it to be still standing, but would be good to know?) The microfiche says Western Avenue. I looked on Google Earth but it's a huge long road....

Norman Murray. Born 1899. Emigrated 1920. Next of kin fits, his elder brother, Robert Murray. But he doesn't appear on the US 1930 Census with the rest of the family. He's down as joining a relative in the US, a Mr R Taylor, Coello, Nr Christopher, Illinois. I've taken a look at the US 1930 Census, but there are several microfiches for Christopher.

If anyone has any ideas how I can track him down that would be wonderful. We think he may have been a coalminer.

Gordon Murray. Born 1903. Emigrated 1929. Shown on the 1930 US Census as a boarder with the Newtons.

William Murray. Born 1892. Emigrated 1913/1927? The US Census shows it as 1913? Shown on the 1930 US Census as a boarder with the Newtons.

I'd love to track down Norman in the US census, and to find out where the family moved to/got up to in later editions of the census.
We understand that one of the family became a senior member of the Masons, does anyone know how we can find out? We tried the Chicago lodge, but got no joy.
