Hi there, I've been having problems locating my great grandfather Edward Robert Terry born 1879 in Poplar East London. I've found his parents (Edward and Sarah Terry) using the 1881 search facility on Familysearch but no sign of Edward jnr. They were living at 55 Tetley Street, Poplar - details are: Ref No: RG11 Piece/Folio: 0501/142 Page No: 15 I'd be interested to know if there is any more info on there please (especially anything else relating to Sarah's place of birth). Many thanks Helen

Hi Sue, John Wiseman was living at Mill Cottage, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland in 1891. By 1901 he had moved to Crescent Row - also Sunderland. So it looks like he never moved from the area. Were there any in the Sunderland area?? Thanks again Kay

1881 cd rom would enjoy doing searches for anyone as i have the 1881 cd rom, have run out of my names to check and its gathering dust, sue I would not worry about them gathering dust. I have had the LDS 1881 CD-ROM's for perhaps four years. I now have many other censuses on CD-ROM but I still go back to the 1881 CD-ROM's regularly. Martin

Susan, Please could you find George Rowland Wallington (bn 1856 Poplar) and his wife Annie Wallington (bn Reading)? In 1881 they had two young children - Sarah Beatrice Wallington (bn 1879 Mile End) Annie Lilian Wallington (bn 1880 Mile End). I found the family on 1901 Census (together with their next 9 children), but can not find them on LDS site. Thnx Paul

I am looking for a Jane and Thomas PRESGRAVES (sometimes without the last 's'). They are brother and sister, she would be 6 and he younger, in Lincolnshire. I have found a potential on familysearch, but their father William is shown as being 73. I'm wondering of someone entered the age incorrectly, or if his relationship was meant to be 'grandfather'. I'd appreciate it if you could take a quick peek.

Hi Susan, I wonder if you could look for me as well - I cannot locate my Gt Grandfathers family on the 1881 census although I have them from the 1891 census: Banks Family 1891 albert john head 36 ironmonger harriet wife 36 john son 16 printer james son 14 william son 13 harriett dau 10 alfred son 8 maud dau 6 albert son 3 edie ? dau 1 they lived at 1 Rokeby st. west ham hope this helps Susie In 1901 they lived at 1 Paul Street which makes a corner with Rokeby Street and this information matches what I know about this family. Please could you take a look on the 1881 disk for this address in Stratford East London -West Ham area. Many thanks in advance for your help. Cleo

Sue, Thanks for having a look, I was wondering if they had been mis-transcribed. Are you able to do an address look-up on the disks, If so I would like to know who lived at that address just in case. Many thanks anyway. Cleo
