I came upon this site purely by chance, so if you are searching for any of the above, you should certainly take a look. www(.)nwon(.)com/pauline/Travellers(.)html (Remove brackets!) It includes links to loads of other sites, including lists of people on the 1881 and 1891 censuses. Certainly worth a look, I can assure you. Janet

will try this web site thanks my great great grandfather John Flanagan was listed as a hawker on his sons marriage cert 1881, son was James Flanagan married Mary Ellen Pickstone Stockport parish church, come to a full stop as regards John Flanagan Hawker bren from Ireland

Thank you for that Janet, Have saved it for future reference. Family heresay says that my paternal Grandmother was a daughter of a Romany Gypsy, and her name was King. I am planning on tracing the link later on. T x
