Michelle The army records for deceased personnel will only be released when accompanied by proof of death (a copy of a death cert is acceptable) Records are released to next of kin and the army has an obligation under the data protection act,that's why proof of death is required. This requirement may be waived when the date of birth of the individual was more than 100 years ago. My main problem is the records i seek are for my birth father,i don't know his dob,so can't tell which death ref is his and can't get the cert! Glen |
