Coming to this query a bit late, but for what it's worth: These entries appear to be from a printed volume of parish transcripts, probably produced about a century ago. Ancestry never source the transcribers adequately, which doesn't help. It looks as if the heading of baptisms in 1661 is simply the start of the new volume after the interregnum. All the entries would appear in the same book up to 1754. As everyone has said, the first entry ought to be a burial, the second a marriage. Is the second dated 1770 or 1700? If the former, it ought to be entirely in English. It would be worth tracking down the original (there appear to be copies for sale on Amazon, so they are probably also available in major genealogical libraries) to see exactly what the transcript says. |
