Sarah Mary Overy

This woman apparently married 3/4 times I only know of one I have no idea when she was born Only know one of her childrens name for defo b 1901 Have no idea who she'd of married before my grt grandad. Anyone any ideas?

Sounds like a long trawl through the BMD's on Ancestry for you! Was that her married name?

I know she married a Walter John Barker possibly in 1881 but if she married more than once I'm not entirely sure this is correct

Start with what you know............. What was the name of the child born 1901? Do you have the full name of its father? Where was this woman living in 1901? You should be able to find her on the 1901 census, then work back from there. If you want help, you're going have to be a bit more informative..........we can't work on scraps. Reg

The 1881 marriage can't be the one you want........unless they lied about being married for 1881 census Reg

That's what I thought but can't seem to find any other Nan can't remember any Uncles or Aunts other than Harold A pretty comman name one thinks

Reg Thanks for looking I know nothing about that area at all so not sure either but will look into it All my nan could tell me was that Leonard was born within the sounds of the bow bells But then she also told me that he was born in 1899 which I discovered yesterday was wrong when she produced the birth cert Just goes to show unless you have proof nothing is certain

I'm not sure why you say you don't know about her birth..........the two censuses agree she was born in Hackney; the only discrepancy is the year...........1862 or 1864. Reg
