I was told to come here to ask someone to help.. I am unable to find information... On Ancestry, I am unable to pull up on my great gran Edith Olive Boulton's birth information. But I dont know if it wont do because she born on 26th October 1908 and also I am unable to find John Frederick Boulton as he has 2 wife (one of them died early and John remarry) were Lucy Quarterman and Ann Quarterman. They both married at same place called St John's Church Epworth or Heworth? Where was that?

Hi Lisa, need a bit more info to search. Was Boulton edith's birth name? Roughly when was John Frederick born? Which part of the country are we talking about? Jim

Hi Lisa. posting the same message on more than one board can be confusing. It's better to stick to one so that everybody sees all the answers and does not spend time duplicating. If one board does not help, then by all means try the other - but only one at a time... (end of sermon -- sorry). Incidentally, it's a little unfair to those who have pay per view if they spend their money and not just their time duplicating effort. I can see the birth of Edith Olive registered in Doncaster in the December quarter of 1908. The ref is 9c 852. The problem is that it is shown as BOLTON. Which spelling is correct? Jim

I don't quite understand some of the question but regarding the Epworth part. There is a place called Epworth, it is fairly close to Doncaster.

Hiya, yes its her birth name was Boulton and i was unable to pull her details up and i dont know when roughly John Frederick born unforunately. And my aunt think Edith born in wales.... her borthers and sisters born in different places

There is a John Frederick Boulton who died in Aug 1986 in Doncatsre area - gives birthdate as 11 APR 1915. Only matching birth I can see was in Stoke on Trent. Mother's maiden name shown as Davies (a good welsh name). Is this him? Jim

I gave two women name who John has been married to was Lucy Quarterman who died in January 24th 1888 and remarry to Ann Quarterman... He married to Ann in 1891. It was not a Davies.

Lisa, something seems wrong here. I can not see either marriage of Lucy's death at the dates you mention. You gave a date for Edith Olive BOULTON, but I could only find Edith Olive BOLTON at that date. Now I find the following wedding in 1908 in Doncaster. It could be fit which is why I cant work out how Edith got Boulton as her surname.. My family said Edith olive Boulton before she married as Hutsby. It could be Bolton? Spell wrong? I dont know as I will be going to the Chapel house in Derby. What sort of scorce do you mean?

Reginald D Hutsby recorded as marrying Edith O BOULTON at Basford ref 7b 516 in 1929 June quarter. Date consistent with 1908 birth - but it does look as if the name spelling has changed. Jim
