1891 we have Robert Jones aged 4 with mother Jane and grandparents Frank and Ann Wright - one of the earliest posts. I've looked to see if I could find Jane Jones on earlier censuses and she is always living with her parents hence the Wrights keep appearing.

I'm lost with the mention of the Wright family are you on the wrong thread?

In 1871 Jane is living with her parents and given as married though no sign of her husband. However, her occupation is given as 'wife of a stonemason' Seems to be a different family

You only need the info that I have given above. You don't need the parents names to order but can be useful for checking with commons names. Make sure you go to the proper site, never pay more than 7pnds per cert. I have heard some are charging 20-30pnds. Definately a rip off. There are loads of marriages of John Jones to Jane Wright (incase thats her parents) but none in right area or time. go to go now, starving, pot noodle is calling me. Selena Her age is given as 25 in 1911, so she was born around 1886? Is that right?

I've had so many times when the ages are not 'quite' right! It gets worse the further back you go. There are loads of Hannah Davies, but this is the nearest in age in the right area. If you decide to order the birth certificates, you could use the fathers' names as a checking point and then you won't lose all money if they are wrong - I think they refund 3pnds per cert if not right. Best bet is if someone could find them on the 1901, I don't have ancestry unfortunately. Good luck, Selena
