rose don't know when she died was also known as rebecca kilbey but can't find a marriage as in 1923 mar/cert john kilbey deseased john had brother edward that might be him also thought maybe rebecca wasn't her name as in them days seem to change name whenever they feel like it jenny

rose my nan recons it was for a lord & lady lindlsey in chelsea he also had a scottish residents we think near or in edinborough jenny

I imagine she would need to live with a family if she were a wet nurse. Do you know when this was? Rose

rose thanks think i might have look for her on electrol registar rebecca was a wet nurse do you know weather she would have lived at work ? and if she did would she been aloud to take her child with her ? jenny

Jenny, I lived in Battersea for a year but I have several friends who have settled in the Northcote Road area. Check no. 34 in 1901 and they're not there. Rose

hi fiona i have got a copy of marriage cert not very useful dad deseased no mention of rebecca we know dad lived with his wife and children on 1901 cencus but his wife wasn't rebecca an affair we think jenny

Hi Jenny, Did you get the marriage certificate for Maud to Benjamin Oswin that I posted on your last thread. I really think you need the marriage certificate to hopefully give you some more clues about Maud's family. Here's the ref again incase you need it. Benjamin G. Oswin, Dec quarter 1923, District Wandsworth, Vol 1d, Page 1301. Wife Maude Kilbey. Fiona.
