George william Simpson born about 1876 somewhere in Yorkshire (I think) The only evidence I have for him is his marriage cert 10th May 1898 in Whitby to Agnes Mary Hullett, his occupation is farmer and his father is John Simpson also a farmer ( also one of the witnesses). The married couple appear on the 1901 census - living in Newholme with Dunsley with their two young sons (ref RG 13/4561). However I can't find a birth for him or find him reliabley on any other census......can any of you wonderful eagle eyed people out there help? thanks in anticipation!! Helen.

Thanks Angela, There are just sooo many George william Simpsons out there!!! I wish I had less of a fuzzy idea of birth place - the whole family put Aislaby down in the 1901 census which I know is wrong. Hey Ho! June, Yes that's them! Only prob is that Agnes was born in Loftus (lofthouse) and can't find a birth form George that would tie in with Aislaby!! Many thanks Helen.
