June, Yes that's them! Only prob is that Agnes was born in Loftus (lofthouse) and can't find a birth form George that would tie in with Aislaby!! Many thanks Helen. |

Thanks Angela, There are just sooo many George william Simpsons out there!!! I wish I had less of a fuzzy idea of birth place - the whole family put Aislaby down in the 1901 census which I know is wrong. Hey Ho! Thanks for looking for me, have to go off for a bit now and won't get a chance to check back till tommorrow, but I will respond to queries if you are willing to wait for a reply! George william Simpson born about 1876 somewhere in Yorkshire (I think) The only evidence I have for him is his marriage cert 10th May 1898 in Whitby to Agnes Mary Hullett, his occupation is farmer and his father is John Simpson also a farmer ( also one of the witnesses). The married couple appear on the 1901 census - living in Newholme with Dunsley with their two young sons (ref RG 13/4561). However I can't find a birth for him or find him reliabley on any other census......can any of you wonderful eagle eyed people out there help? thanks in anticipation!! Helen. |
