I have a Death Certificate, which in column 3 - 'Sex' states Male and underneath is the number 71. I've not seen this on any other certificate that I have. Anyone have any ideas what it means? Thanks, M. Steer |

Has there been an alteration made in that column? Usually numbers refer to a matched number of an entry in a book logging all alterations made on any certificate. Gwyn |

Yummy, no - he was only 20th months old when he died. Gwynneth again no - there are no alterations or amendments. Nothing has been 'crossed out' or changed in any way. It's exactly as the Registrar originally wrote it. Very odd! Thanks again, M. Steer |
