Hi! I would like to find maps/photos of what 3 Mill St, Prescot and 1, Bowling Green View, Swinton looked like in 1923 and 1928. Had looked on Google, but it only shows a map of these areas now. Any suggestions as to where to look or how to go about getting photos/information please? Regards Rachel. |

Have a look at www*alangodfreymaps*co*uk..(change the * to dots).I don't know how country-wide these maps are but they are fab in details. They seem to date around 1901.They are very reasonably priced too! They also have an excellent service! Sandra. xxx |

My personal experience is that the libraries win every time - not only maps but pictures and possibly history /gossip too. Google the town + library and email or phone. CB |
