Abolished : 1.1.1926 (succeeded by Stepney district). Sub-districts : St. George North; St. George & St. John; St. John; St. Mary; St. Paul. GRO volumes : II (1837-51); 1c (1852-1925). On a birth index the district was written as St Geo East I have looked at the list of register offices but it is not there. Is this the same as the St Geo Hanover Square I am trying to find the registration district for someone baptised at St.Batolph, Bishopsgate London. Any help appreciated. thank you
