Cheap irish researchers? I dont want them doing all my research for me but would like a marriage found. Kind regards Danny

Daniel, I once paid a researcher only to find a year later that the information they had given me was in the public domain anyway. I would really only use one as a last resort now. Why don't you put everything you know on a thread here and see if a kind GR member can help you.

You could be right. I dont really like the idea of paying someone to do my research, it takes the fun out it. But saying that, im looking at a brick wall and am starting to lose my rag. Danny

Hi Danny , Ulster Genealogy has good links for Northern Ireland I joined for info about the Freemasons in Carrickfergus but there are lots of people willing to help if you have details also there is a research part with different prices think middle one is £42 sterling for 3 hours!! I just stated what I needed and within a week had contact addresses etc of Archivist in Dublin and the info I .needed You didn`t state where but Rootsweb.com has a very good Irish Catagory covering all Southern Ireland Counties and again.all friendly all willing to help if they can Both sites free to join, Hope this helps
