Hi Danny , Ulster Genealogy has good links for Northern Ireland I joined for info about the Freemasons in Carrickfergus but there are lots of people willing to help if you have details also there is a research part with different prices think middle one is £42 sterling for 3 hours!! I just stated what I needed and within a week had contact addresses etc of Archivist in Dublin and the info I .needed You didn`t state where but Rootsweb.com has a very good Irish Catagory covering all Southern Ireland Counties and again.all friendly all willing to help if they can Both sites free to join, Hope this helps

You could be right. I dont really like the idea of paying someone to do my research, it takes the fun out it. But saying that, im looking at a brick wall and am starting to lose my rag. Danny

Daniel, I once paid a researcher only to find a year later that the information they had given me was in the public domain anyway. I would really only use one as a last resort now. Why don't you put everything you know on a thread here and see if a kind GR member can help you.

Cheap irish researchers? I dont want them doing all my research for me but would like a marriage found. Kind regards Danny
