Hi Maureen, I spent the whole afternoon tracking the other Matilda Askey born c 1841 City Road, Middlesex in Chelsea to see if that was the one as on the 1891 and 1901 with Elizabeth Smith she is said to be single although i know this means nothing lol on the census. And to see if i could see any relation to my Elizabeth and found no connection. I have also looked for Mr Head and Elizabeth Smith marriages, and came up with two Harry Head to Elizabeth Smith in 1899 in Lymington and William James Smith to Annie Smith in Hackney in 1900 both sets are aliving and kicking in 1901. I doubt that i am ever going to find this marriage. Part of my problem is i just do not know the areas of London. lol so not knowing areas doesn't help me, lol I do very much appreciate your input as i have been looking for this info for years and have picked it up again to try and sort it. Hi Folks Suzanne the marriage is a possibility but im not sure. Glitter baby yes i had seen the 1901 she is the only candidate that i can find and the 1891 i had not seen but i am now thinking it is the same Elizabeth as Matilda Askey/Ashley is with her on both census. So i now have to find the head marriage, lol which would seem to be in the London area and not Warwickshire as i had thought and also the death of MR Head. Many many thanks Kal My Smith family have never been where they should be and never with the right families.

Glitter baby, Yes that is him, I have him on the 1871 and 1881 census. I cannot find him on the 1891 and 1901 census, I have his marriage in 1923 in Coventry to Elizabeth Ann Head. But cannot find his first marriage. Donald is 60 and a widower a labourer at gas works father is Thomas Head. He married Elizabeth Ann Head a widow age 59 formerly Smith, I can also not find a marriage of Elizabeth Ann Smith to Mr Head Nor can i find Elizabeth on the 1891 and 1901. I do have Elizabeth Ann Head on the electoral register in Coventry in 1919, so i am presuming her hubby MR Head died before 1919. Elizabeth Ann (Smith ) Head is the sister of my gt grandfather. I know loads about her but i just cannot find her marriage to MR head after 1883. She was born in Juloy 1863 in St Sidwell, Exeter but christened in Coventry in the Nivember of 1863. In 1883 she had an illigitmate daughter Sarah Jane Smith in Coventry, So she must have married between 1883 and 1922. In 1881 she is with her grandfather David Smith in Jordan Well Coventry, I have her before this but not after. I am presuming that as you are looking for a marriage after 1881 that you have him on earlier census. 1871 is this him? Hi Kal, I have looked and couldn't find anything. I don't have access to marriages at sea, however. (Although there won't be that many!) Sorry to have drawn a blank.

Can some lovely kind person please have a look for me on a marriage for Donald Philip Johnston on overseas marriages please, I am desperately trying to find his marriage between 1881 and 1922, which doesnt appear to be in Britain, I have his second marriage in 1923 in Coventry.
