Ah, Maureen- well spotted! The 1921 is on the transcription (not on the actual image).
The image is stamped by the Mercantile Marine Office, Liverpool, on 19th August 1936- which fits with her name being Bowan.
Sorry for the confusion.

Can I ask is the event year 1921, the earliest one on record for Margaret, as far as I know she didn't marry Mr Bowan until 1926.
Thanks

Seems odd that the actual date of birth on the 1939 was different. She definitely knew her birthday:

Thanks Austin and Sylvialn
I thought that Margaret may have lied about her age at marriage, iam not sure why she changed the actual date of birth in 1939.
The 1939 for the McManus family, he is listed as b 1889. In the 1911 census listed born 1871 approx. Will check up on Newton area where a Honor is listed dying in 1946 to see if its close to Haydock.
Margaret was also employed working on the Liners sailing from Liverpool to New York in mid 1930's where she most likely met John Cutler, looks like he may have returned to Southampton as death record 1978 shows same date of birth as his from the 1939 register.

Re Margaret's birth date on the 1939 Register ...................
she could have "lost" a few years to appear closer in age to John ..... only 10 years older instead of 14 ;-) .
not unknown!!!!

Thank you for the replies, I do have all the information on the family regarding Census, Births.
I wondered if the 1939 record would show maybe another family member as having difficulty finding what happened to the male children, Margaret Mary I do know details of her family.
I will order the death cert for the Honor Listed, she was Margaret Mary Nevin's mother.
I hadn't seen the Crew /passenger list information thank you
