also there according to Ancestry.

Thanks for the nudge Gael. Sorry Emma, something was amiss with sending messages on Ancestry at the back end of last week, so I've sent those messages this afternoon.

There seems to be only Scotsmarie with Alexander b 1834, so fingers crossed.

PS She has him born USA

Hi Cathy I have death record but it does not
state who his parents were and this has been
my problem for years trying to find this info. I
also have his place of birth as Agra India or
USA hence my query about info on Ancestry.

I only found his sister Edingull Heron Nerrlie born 8 Mar 1891 St Nicholas, Aberdeen

The info I'm looking for is the parents of
Alexander b1834 my g grandfather. If you
can send a message to the owners of the
private trees please. I have to go off line
now but will be back tomorrow. Thank you

The public tree has no parents for Alexander b 1834.

scotsmarie's tree is private - I can send her a message if you like. There is another that is private too. The one that George has posted is from a public tree, and has a child Alexandra Victoria Nerrlie 1902-1999 who married Wiiliam Stewart Grey. Again I can send a message to that person if you let me know what to ask.

Thanks for your interest George. I have searched
Scotlandspeople as I subscribe to that site being
a Scot and can get no further with them,also have
a friend who checked Register House, Edinburgh
for me and hit a brick wall also. Thought when I saw
that on Ancestry that lady may know something.

I think you need someone with expertise in searching Scottish records, which i am not/ Also it maybe Worlwide Ancestry you need

I know there is Scotlandspeople but it is not a subsciption site, it is pay to view, but as i said you need someone with more knowledge than i.

Keep nudging this thread someone should come along to help.

Yes George that is correct info as he was
my grandfather but its his father b1834 who
I can't get any further with as birth places vary
from India to USA. Not knowing anything re
Ancestry looked in the following site and found

i am assuming you mean you have found some details of on a public members tree?

Cant see the tre you mention but some details from another tree.

when I look in Ancestry it came up with him and
also his Son same name b1868. The person
