Hi - Does anyone have any tips as to where i should try to trace some of my family - they sailed on a ship to Portland from liverpool in 1906....i would like to find out what happened to them.

If you give the name's and birth year's, I could check passenger lists and U.S census record's.

your amazing,...george was his brother......i actually found george and emily in the 1911 census here in west ham essex living with one if his other brothers!....did canada hold their census on a different month to england do you know?

Hi,Looks like this Canadian census was taken on the 21st and 22nd June 1911.Vast area.

It seems that William and his family first arrived in Canada in 1910 and George,His brother arrived 1909.
So,Between the year's 1906 and 1910,William was elsewhere...probably the U.S.

Well Tom, that would make sense as i think england census was april, so his brother was obviously planning to go !..i wondrered why i couldnt find any children born to george and his wife here!.....youve been absolutly amazing Tom ...i cant thankyou enough for all your help!!

A Rosie Warboys died in York, Ontario, 4 Jan 1927, age 12. She was born 1915, Mt. Dennis, Ontario. Parents William Warboys and Matilda Dades or Loades.

Oh! I guess that's them. Found the marriage of William Thomas D. Worboys and Matilda Mary A. Loades, 1894, W. Ham.

How did I miss those, Rose?
I see that Albert Charles Hayden Hamblin enlisted for WW1 in Canada. He was born 21 Dec. 1896, Watfordshire, England. Present address was 185 Lambton Ave., Mt. Dennis, Ontario. next-of-kin was mother Charlotte, same address.

How sad! Matilda Mary Ann Higham died 10 April, 1915, York Twp., York, Ontario. 5 months after she married!!!
