I have foudn the marraige of one of my rellies in the Parish records on Ancestry. I know that certs were not issued then and I have downlaoaded the image. I was just wondering if I went to the parish and viewed it would I be able to find out anymore as it only had both of their names on it with a date, and I would like to find out a bit more on their immediate family. |

You will probably need to visit the local GRO to view the records. |

Have you looked to see if the parish has been transcribed by freereg yet? Or to see if there is an online parish clerk? |

The marriage was at Saint Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey, Surrey in 1828. |

It's quite variable - addresses of the couple and of witnesses were not uncommon. On the otherhand, it might just record the reading of the banns, when less info was given. |
