I can find my GT/GT GF Thomas Parvin on the 1871 and 1881 census with his wife Mary Ann Furby, they marry in 1866, BUT, cant find him in 1851 or 1861 when he should be with his parents.

Thomas was born in Old Shildon, Durham in 1842, son of John Parvin b. 1812 and Margaret Bradwell, they married on 10/7/1838 at Sand Hutton.

Thomas died in 1889.

Can anyone help please.

I was given the marriage date of John and Margaret 10/7/1838 at Sand Hutton, but cant find that either on the IGI or Ancestry marriages, yet she dies as Parvin

Did she die before the census? If so, there's no point looking for a Thomas with parents Margaret and John.

The only one I can find for Durham is John Parvin & Mgt. enginedriver who moved to Lancs & had son Thomas. Sorry got to go to bed now. good luck

Thats definetly them Rose, just looked at my list and they had a son bap. 8/7/1840 in Shildon, can you see any sign of them in 1851

What was her address when she died?

I only know she died in the auckland district Rose, which is in Durham, does that help ?

I have 3 children born to John and Margaret

1....Hannah 1839

2...john Bradwell 1840

3....thomas 1842

after you have found them on the 1841 rose with no Hannah, I will now look for a death between 1839 and 1841 .

Found a death which is probaly Hannah, 2nd qtr of 1840 in Auckland
