Just another tip for storage/safe backup of Family Tree's that I got from this site recently.

All family tree programs and Genesreunited enable you to export GEDCOM files. Once a week export a file and then e-mail it to yourself.

Most people keep backups in their homes along with their PC/Laptop, God forbid there be a fire or a flood and then your data is gone.

If you use an internet email provider like Gmail or Hotmail then any files you have sent will be safe and you don't have to worry about disks and memory sticks.

The tree on my computer is the main one. This is dragged and dropped onto a memory stick after any new information is added. Then, and only then, is the new information put onto my tree on GR.
