Hi Slinky, John Walmsley and Julia née Brannan were my wife's great grandmother's parents in law and we visited Ormskirk in the summer in order to visit their grave and others in the same cemetery. If you have any documentation that you could share with us it would be greatly appreciated and we may be able to assist you with our branch of the family. 1841 - John and Margaret Ashton have a couple of children with them - including Martha - then aged 11. No guarantee that Martha is John's mother but it's a possibility. |

i am looking for information about the parents of john walmsley,john was born in liverpool in 1842.he was living with his grandather john ashton in ormskirk lancs in 1851,he was still with his grandfather in ormskirk in 1861,he married a julia brannan in 1862 ,but i have no more info about who his parents were,can anybody help. |
