Find Ancestors

I need some help please, come to a brick wall. I am trying to find a James Rollins who was born 1792 Barton Westmorland and he married a Mary Green in Barton Westmorland, found them in 1861 living in Evercreech Somerset. I have found no one else with the name of Rollins living in Westmorland but plenty of Rowlandson. Any advice please would be appreciated

have you looked on family search there are births of rollins in westmorland in the 1990's

Thankyou for your reply Malyon, I have been on Family search as a member, admittedly not looked at the 1990s because wanted the late 1700s/ early 1800s. Also on Ancestry and come up with nothing on there around the dates I want. Perhaps I can pick up a 1990s Rollins and see if I can make my way back somehow

I have found just found this and been looking through the FreeBMD and she is not listed, neither are there any other Rollins in that area of Westmorland or Cumberland which are the Lske district.

Birth registration in England and Wales wasn't compulsory until 1875, so even though she was baptised, her birth may not have been registered.

Can see her surname is spelt Rawlins not Rollins. I have got as far as James Rollins and Mary Rollins nee Green both born and married in Barton Westmorland, but unsure of their children .Found them on the 1861 census living in Evercreech Somerset on children listed, couldn’t find them on 1851 census ,unless spelt the name wrong
