Thanks everyone great info, I now have the DOB for Edward and hopefully have the maiden name for Elizabeth which is great as i was a bit stuck, i was going to go to the church in Lyndhurst to see if i could get anymore info as its only 6 miles from my house,

You should be able to find them on 1841 census with parents

I already gave you Charlotte with her parents.

And Stephen can be found with his mother and numerous siblings

On this site and ancestory at all the records, im new to this so might be doing something wrong.

Really great help everyone, done well today piecing together everything and it all makes sense but I cant get any further than Stephen Martin - 1831 married to Charlotte Peckham - 1831, I know Stephen`s father was Edward and think he was married to Elizabeth from the Lyndhurst area of Hampshire but have hit a brick wall, if anyone can help that would be very helpful but if we dont find anything then ive got to be happy with what I got,

You need the 1908 marriage certificate to show name/occupation of William Henry's Father and his birth cert. to give mmn

Thomas A Cooper 51 a Fisherman, with wife Louisa 50 and children William H 23, Robert 18, Alice E and Ethel 12 all born

IF the 1908 Cooper / Wilton marriage posted earlier is the correct one, then this would be the family in 1911.

The original shows they have been married for 3 years and had 2 children, both of whom are alive.

and Daisy - no mother's maiden name, so likely illegitimate. Possible that William was the Father but didn't acknowledge at the time of registration or, more likely he wasn't.
Looks as though William had accepted her as his though, as shown as "daughter"
