I don't think he was born in wales

I posted him with his wife Ada on the 1911 census and he states born Salford

Lancashire for all the records is very consistent

OK, Here goes; 40 Walker Rd is correct,I have been to the house.
The births are all OK, Having nothing else to check them by but 99% is great by me.
What does the Kelsall Barton mean, is that the district where Eccles falls?
Robert John was, according to Fran, a shoeMAKER by trade but he did repairs as well. He made her clogs & shoes. We still have his last!
Items like Joan Barrett[Powell], is Barrett her married name?

The births all have a mother's maiden name as Kelsall, district Barton (upon Irwell). I have posted the marriage underneath. This was from http://www.lan-opc.org.uk.

The 1939 register has Joan Barrett (Powell). Yes you are correct with Barrett being her married name.
