The father is John :)

On the marriage cert for George to Ann ( on FMP) the occupation for John is Labourer, not that it helps much.

I believe Longton is a suburb of Stoke on Trent, malyon.

looks like his mother was elizabeth

i posted census with a mother elizabeth found a marriage for them i think thats them in 1841 census they dont give true age on the 1841 census

As George was a widower on the marriage cert I might suggest he was less than honest about his age when marrying Ann? which would tie in with the 1861 census being closer to his real age?
