Hello!

I am trying to find birth records for a George Gerald Galbraith who was born in 1924 in Belfast I believe. He was married to Veronique M Kelly. I am doing this for my mother in law so I currently don't have any birth certificates etc. We believe his mother was Teresa Toner but she doesn't know who his father was. I am struggling to find birth records for anyone! George had 6 or 7 siblings I think. I have been told they were all born in Belfast and then the whole family moved to Birmingham.

I don't know why I can't find any records.

Can anyone see anything for Veronique? I think she was born in Birmingham but my husband seems to think she was from Rosscommon in Ireland?

Zoe, if you go to the site I posted, and search for the marriage that Andrew has posted, you can see an image of the marriage entry, with fathers' details, etc.

Potty

Potty Report 26 Nov 2016 14:51

As well as seeing the image of the marriage, you can see the image of Teresa's birth registration.

Didn't realise this facility was available again. You can search the Irish indexes for births over 100 years, marriages over 75 years and view the original entries. This was available on the site a while ago but the facility was withdrawn because of worries over privacy but those must have been resolved.
