Hi
I have hit a brick wall with the above grandfather.
I find him on Census from 1851 onwards (1841 says born in Tipton ...?) all rest say born Radnorshire Wales.

Does anyone have William in their tree for close year of birth /location? can shed light on actual birth family/location etc? :-S

The 1841 census does not normally give place of birth but by 1861/1871 at least he is Living in Tipton, if the same William.

the william in the 1841 and 1851 census was a shoe maker

Stephanie Heuston (Nee Wilding) Trying to find Willilam Wilding born c 1816 Radnorshire Wales. I have William and Elizabeth in 1841 Census living in Knighton where William was a shoemaker, then in 1851 living in Dudley as a coal minerFather of Edwin Wilding b abt 1837 a shoemaker also, in Birmingham. the only info I have is from Edwin's second marriage certificate is that his father's name was William and that he was a miner, and his mother's name was Elizabeth

Sorry been away from a pc for a while.

Thank you so much for all your help it is the Tipton one I'm after. Got all the census info and I think 1841 has wrong birth location?! As William's family is same. On all the census.
I i know Edwin 1837 was shoemaker, as far as I know (from all the census) William was miner.
Also Have marriage info RE Rhoda Doughty / caddick too but not earlier one to Elizabeth.

Sorry it's very confusing but have just hit wall re any life before 1841.

I go back thru dad Michael Wilding to Reginald W to Samuel to Edwin back to William then hit brick wall.
