Margaret was born about 1797 in Ireland and had twin girls
Margaret and Christine born in Ireland about 1820
Margaret married a James Balls born 1793 in Densten Suffolk about 1815
If any one could give me any info I'm Margaret and her daughters I would be very grateful

bit puzzled about the info ???

She married James Balls in 1815 but she had two daughters in 1820 in Ireland /

How did that work please are you saying they weren't his children ?

A tree on Ancestry has attached this record to James Ball. If correct, the births and marriage could have taken place if he was posted to Ireland

You shouldn't assume that Margaret and Christina were twins. Ages on the 1841 were round (up or down?) to the nearest 5 or 0

Vivien - order the BC found by safc for Matilda. At least that will give you Margaret's maiden name.

On the 1841 census both Margaret and Christine were listed as aged 20 but ages of those over 15 on the 1841 census were rounded DOWN to the nearest 5 or 0 making them aged 20-24 so born 1817-1820.

Can I just point out that the image of the 1841 census reads differently to the transcription on FMP- this is the Ancestry version which appears to be more accurate:

Name: Margaret Balls
Age: 40
Estimated birth year: abt 1801
Gender: Female
Where born: Ireland
Civil Parish: Purleigh
Hundred: Dengie
County/Island: Essex
Registration district: Maldon
Sub-registration district: Maldon
Piece: 327
Book: 22
Folio: 30
Page Number: 20
Name Age
James Balls 45
Margaret Balls 40
Christina Balls 20 Ireland
James Balls 12
Ann Balls 8
John Balls 6
Matilda Balls 2

So Margaret was his wife, (and not a child aged 20 as listed on the FMP version.)
