Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 2 377 Send Message	I cannot deny the possibility of John being 4 when he was baptised but the usual practice was a very short time after birth so I am not inclined to claim Thomas as his father, even if there is a chance of him being born and married. 	Just because the baptism took place in 1805......doesn't necessarily mean he was born in 1805.

This looks the most likely death for him :- Deaths Sep 1884 Oddy John 85 Bradford, Y. 9b 13 but I can't see anything very convincing for Rebecca

	On the marriage record in 1822.....it stated that Rebecca was a "Minor" Possibly...... ?? West Yorkshire, England, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1512-1812? 	The only possible baptism I can find for a John Oddy in Bradford is this one.... ?? 	Signing off now....... Alice Oddy born 1824......married Thomas Boyes in 1849. Abraham Oddy married Rebecca Craven in 1857....second marriage to widow Emma Ramsden in 1894. Joseph Oddy married Harriett Drake in 1859

	Ah....... John has changed his occupation by 1861.....he is a Grocer! 	I am confused now.. On the 1851 census, there is an Edward Spencer (Remembering there is a witness Edward Spencer on the Jonathan's marriage record) husband of Sarah Ann Spencer. And.... Marriages Jun 1850 (>99%) Spencer Edward Bradford Y 23 210 Oddy Sarah Ann Bradford Y. 23 210 Father John Oddy... Occ Comber on her marriage record.
