Thank you Prickles, I have added that IGI Marriages site to My Favourites. I will have to check whether it will reveal the Woolham marriage I was looking for yesterday....

Signing off now.......

Alice Oddy born 1824......married Thomas Boyes in 1849.

Abraham Oddy married Rebecca Craven in 1857....second marriage to widow Emma Ramsden in 1894.

Joseph Oddy married Harriett Drake in 1859

The only possible baptism I can find for a John Oddy in Bradford is this one....

On the marriage record in 1822.....it stated that Rebecca was a "Minor"

Thank you Prickles for John Oddy but I think its a bit late for my John, whose age on various census puts his birth at 1801.

This looks the most likely death for him :-

but I can't see anything very convincing for Rebecca

Just because the baptism took place in 1805......doesn't necessarily mean he was born in 1805.

I cannot deny the possibility of John being 4 when he was baptised but the usual practice was a very short time after birth so I am not inclined to claim Thomas as his father, even if there is a chance of him being born and married. We could do with an 1811 census - lol
