I am so grateful for all the extra information. I am taking the grandchildren to visit in Pontypridd in early December and it will be like an 'ancestral' tour for them as I am sure many streets etc still exist.

Thank you all so much for your prompt replies and outstanding knowledge :-) :-)

William LOUGHOR of Wenvoe married Cecilia LOUGHOR of Llancarfan on 14 May 1825
@ Llancarfan

Following that through to the 1841 census we find most of the family (except
for...Thomas, Robert, John, Edwin & Mary) living at the Great House,
Michaelston-super-ely, though William's age is given as 40 (b.1801) not 44....

LOUGHER, William, 40, Farmer
LOUGHER, Cissel, 35

LOUGHER, David, 8
LOUGHER, Edward, 7
LOUGHER, Evan, 5
LOUGHER, Phillip, 3
LOUGHER, Cissel, 11M

All above born in Glamorgan.

Naturally we follow this through to the 1851 and indeed find the above family
on the Llantrisant fiche living at Treguff Place with a vastly expanding
family! Though the ages are somewhat confusingly different from 1851.....
