Offence for above
Stealing from Burnley on the 5th February 1881 one hundred and thirty three yards of black Silesia cloth, and within six calendar months thereafter, to wit, on the 28th of February 1881, at the said place feloniously did steal twenty eight yards of French ivory merino,respectively, the goods and chattels of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company.

Warrant 28 Mar, Received into Custody 29 Mar 1881
Trial 6 Apr 1881 Pleaded guilty to Larceny. Sentence 9 Months

Looks like him. .so he was in prison in 1881 :-0

A newspaper article confirms that the James Andrews above in Prison previously was a porter at Bank Top Railway station and his address was 61 Gannow Lane.

So not much chance of finding them in 1871 as they were in India, and 1891 he was already dead. It looks likely for him in prison in 1881, so the marriage posted by Gins looks promising and would be most logical lead to follow up.

Looks like he got married late then...aged 30. That's an amazing find ...seems like he stole some expensive stuff. A t least we know where he was now then. That marriage is a possible. ..thanks for all your hard work x :-D
