He married (1) SUSAN WHITEHEAD, daughter of Edward Whitehead and Ann Hunt, on 19 Jul 1884 in Independant Chapel. Reach, Swaffham Prior. Camb. Eng. She was born in 1866 in Reach. Swaffham Prior,Cambridgeshire England.. She died on 03 Aug 1894 in 10 Pitt St, Peckham, London, England.. He married (2) REBECCA MARY FRANCES STUBBINGS, daughter of Daniel Stubbings, in 1896 in St Pauls Herne Hill London Eng.. She was born in 1870. She died date Unknown in Presume Canada.
Notes for John Merry:
John was very liberal with his age's on his certificates . He gave his age on his marriage cert to Susan Whitehead wrong and his age on his marriage Cert. to Rebecca Stubbings is at least 3 years shy.
Went to Quebec Canada, on the SS Tunisian 12th July 1912. Family followed on in 1913. The four boys from first marriage stayed in England although George followed in 1920.
