So the name of the spouse on the marriage I posted for Edith was incorrectly transcribed

Yes, that's what I was thinking too Jacqueline. I knew you had posted that birth near the beginning of the thread and I only posted it again to show that it was pretty much a match for the DOB given on Lynda Elizabeth BLEAKLEY's death.

It would have saved much searching if David had told us when his Mum had died and the surname used to register her death......... Unless of course he was brought up by his father and had no contact with his mother.

Glad you reached the same conclusion about the birth........it's always helpful when more than one person thinks along the same lines

I've had a PM confirming my theory about his mother marrying her sister's hubby.

So the death is correct, and shows that David's dates are all awry.

Rather sad that Lynda died in her 50s, her sister Edith in her 40s and Edith's daughter also died in her 50s
