you have marked this thread 'answered' ... but it isn't, you do not have an answer to your question

once that is done, other members tend less to look at a thread, even if more info is added to it

it is best never to use the 'mark as answered' function since you never know when you will want to bring a thread back up

(people have tried to get the site management to make the simple change of removing this function since not 1 in 100 people know how what it's for, but they won't do it)

as for your message that you were advised by someone once to start a new thread ... don't know what that was about, unless it was about asking a different question :-)

do you think this could be daughter Louisa who was 2 yrs old in the 1841 census, and her name was anglicized to Louisa?

(there is no record of a death or marriage for that name, and I don't see that name in any census)

you could get that birth certificate to see who the parents were ... if Barnett and Dinah, it would tell you Dinah's name

Problem seems to be ancestors that came from the continent came over a foot passengers so channel crossing werent kept
Now continent to the U.S. A is well documented

I have the same problem with my paternal grandfathers and his family who came over from Germany

But back to yours . If Barnett married dinah here in the UK one would think this would be in a synagogue . The Jewish community keep very good records so may be worth contacting one of the synagogues to see if they can help or give you a guide to which one would have info
