If memory serves me right, the 'other Jacqueline' does not consider her name to be a proper noun...............perhaps that makes the difference

When I first joined I wanted the board name Elvira but they said no it was already taken and yet I have not seen an Elvira on the boards at any time.

I am probably happier being Persephone.. and now that my GR book club books come to Persephone at our Box number here.. I like it even more.

HI, thanks for your help, ellen rose ott,nee hunt no death, I have mary jones born 1881 London,death 1922, I do not know if this is right, can you put me right, please, should it be ellen rose hunt who married William john ott, or mary jones, alice Helen douglas who married William john ott,his second wife, as I can not get any family trees up on ancestrys, so I am stuck, Yvonne,

Trees on Ancestry say that he married Ellen Rose Hunt in 1900, she died 1920 then he married Alice Helen Douglas 1923.

I'm fairly confident that she went by her second name Rose and that the death in 1920 that I posted is her and also the 1901 and 1911 censuses.

Re duplicate names on boards.......at the moment, on the first couple of pages of this board, there are 2 by the name of Terence, 2 Alans and 2 Brians - all with different membership numbers.

When I check re sending my messages out, I simply look at the membership number to differentiate between those with the same name. I occasionally see a Cynthia pop up ....... and immediately feel sorry for them with having been lumbered with such a name.. :-D

What do you want to know?

I don't understand what you mean, Yvonne, when you say that you can't get the census up because Ancestry has started a new tree. That doesn't make sense.

Or, are you trying to view other peoples Trees?...

(as said before, not wise, do your own research, and where possible buy Certs., that way you have info. to hand, and correct details)
