Where were the children born?

Who was their mother?

What proof do you have that George William was their father?

Look for birth info for the children using freebmd

No need to guess............

And surely that's the right 1911 census above?

Cawthorpe came under BOURN district

Suggestion ONLY. A child's birth cert would be your best bet

Thank you for the 1911 census for some reason they are written down as Horley

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 1 Jun 2015 16:45

It pays always to check images.......

The wife's first name is Laily on the original.............as per safc's post

Kucinta

Kucinta Report 1 Jun 2015 16:45

Jacqueline's suggestion looks quite good as middle name Lilian.

Unfortunately the other bride is missing from the page.

I found this couple in the 1911 census living in Bourne:

Name: John Bloodworth
Age in 1911: 26
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1885
Relation to Head: Head
Gender: Male
Birth Place: Bourne, Lincolnshire, England
Civil Parish: Bourne
County/Island: Lincolnshire
Country: England
Street address: Eastgate Bourne Len'c
Marital Status: Married
Occupation: Ptalelager On Railway
Registration district: Bourne
Registration District Number: 412
Sub-registration district: Bourne
ED, institution, or vessel: 4
Piece: 19459
Household Members:
Name Age
John Bloodworth 26
Eliza Bloodworth 23
Burgoyne Bloodworth 2

They had been married 4 years. No idea if Eliza is short for Elizabeth Lillian nee Walton, or not...

No births after 1911 for Bloodworth mmn Walton.

No Morley births MMN Walton in Southwell, but some in Leeds.

I think that's just a transcription error on the 1911 Theresa- if you look at the original the M of Morley looks the same as the M of Married.

It is transcribed as Morley on Ancestry.

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 1 Jun 2015 16:51

No Bloodworth/Walton births in Bourn

Equally, no Morley/Walton births in Southwell

Suggestion for the missing bride...................with page number wrongly transcribed.

Certainly 'outside the range' for Bourn

Kucinta

Kucinta Report 1 Jun 2015 16:54

HA!!!!

FMP Has for the 1907 marriage:

GEORGE WILLIAM MORLEY married one of these people
ELIZABETH LILLIAN WALTON, ELIZA ANN BROWN

Going by census 1911, looks like John Bloodworth married Eliza, so Elizabeth Lilian is stiill on for bride of George, and in 'Lally's birthplace, as Jacqueline pointed out.

EDIT: OK was typing as Jacqueline was posting.....

At least I was first with the 1911 census ;-)
