Thank you Jude yes sorry do mean Electoral Roll I cannot find my Grandfather living with his first wife at all 1915-1932 very frustrating think I will just have to forget about that one :-(

This is the rub...

Women were not given the vote before the war. At the end of the war, in 1918, however, the Representation of the People Act gave women over 30 the vote, and in 1928 this was extended to all women over the age of 21.

So after 1928, assuming she was 21, which I guess she was if she had been married 13 years!!!!!, you should be able to find her. You may need to visit a library however

The problem I have found is that the electoral rolls here, are only available in the library after WW1. And the years I were particularly interested in were 1900 to 1920
