Jason, we all have to start somewhere! I started in 2004 with me, my mum and dad and their parents. I now have nearly six thousand people in my tree. I have got there slowly but surely with help from people on this forum and lots of certificates. It's not cheap but in the long run it is the only way to be sure you are on the right track. |

Once a post's been reported then it can't be amended. I'm afraid you'll now have to wait until GR review the post which may not be until after the holiday |

I am happy to amend the info on my post if that is what is required. The only problem is I don't know how to do it ! Would someone be able to give me some pointers please. Many thanks Jason |

Jason I am not certain if you put your father's full date of birth? If so that could be why it was reported, it's advised just to put the qtr and year rather than full date of someone who could be living, to protect privacy and protect against possible ID theft. |

To be honest I can't remember if the date or just the year was posted. |

I think it could be because the DOB was given for Jason's father who is possibly still living born 1950s? |

I pop down the road and come back to this! There was nothing wrong with Jason's original post nor Yvonne's reply so why on earth has this thread been reported, not once but twice?? |

My great grandmother was originally from Guernsey and she may have married whilst still in Guernsey. I believe her husband was called Charles Pithers. |

Now using the same site, input Joan G Pithers but to save time input dates 1920 to 1930 |
