going off the 1951 census that mary came from derby
James Emberton married a Mary Birch in St Alkmunds area Derby
the only James marriage to a mary with no middle name
Mary Birch was born in 1802 to a Thomas Birch and sarah
could be another clue james 2nd and 3rd children were called
Sarah and Thomas
