Different times, if the mother had left her husband he would have had custody probably, and she might not have had any say in them being put into the orphanage ( and their father may have had no choice if no other member of his family could look after them). |

It wasn't unheard of for children to be in a home when the mother remarried, have seen this before. Or maybe it was just too hard moving all these children around! |

If Elizabeth were born in Mullingar rather than (Mulingar), this could be the County town of West Meath in Ireland. I wonder if they were an Army family? |
