I just looked at the 1901 and the 1911 census and they both say farmer but on James marriage cert it says his father was a labourer. |

It is quite common to 'upgrade' your occupation. So the father can easily call himself a farmer but his son could well know that his father is only a farm labourer. |

Yep that is the one i found for John Branigan, but now i see that it has him dowm as a farmer and on James marriage cert is say labourer. |

Yep i got that 1901 census, i even went up to the cemetery yesterday and found the grave stone for them and there are a few other branigan in there, but i'm trying not to jump the gun, i want to make sure i am on the right path. |

There are what looks to be siblings for James, this one is interesting as the mother has Flanagan in her name |

well that is interesting because there was quiet a few flanagan in the gravesite and flanigan was a witness at james wedding. |
