Have Found Marriage of Charles Child to Ann Leggately 1840 West London

Catherine. If you are looking at 1851 Census that is the one I have and believe
to be correct I did not notice [Child] Charles B.1838 the others are correct Elizabeth
must been B. after census was taken. Charles Occupation states Coachman.
Maybe I have the wrong marriage for Charles but our family history states his wife as Ann but no maiden name.

I do agree though, you do need the birth certificate of one of the children to verify mother's maiden name.

1881 census shows a sister to Charles living with them called Elizabeth BORN: Hertfordshire, England so have ahd a look to see if I could find anything for her and came up with this:-
