Hello Rosemary, you could also give some details of who you're looking for and the timescale - someone might just be able to help you progress further. |

I have a marriage certificate for John Morrison and Catherine Armstrong married 13 May 1867 in Omagh, County Tyrone. The age for both of them is "full". Their fathers names are James Morrison and John Armstrong. The witnesses are James Morrison and Rebecca Morrison - is this James' wife? |

Did the family end up in New Zealand? |

Tree also gives this as 1861 census for Catherine:- |

If the tree is correct, then eldest child was born in New Zealand:- |

Yes, Catherine, that is the family. Going by that Catherine's Mum was 14 years older than her dad!! Thank you for that, I will check out the Ancestry Tree. |

Yes John was born just over two weeks after arriving in New Zealand. It must have been a helluva trip for Catherine!! Thanks so much for this information. |

Registration of marriages in Ireland started in 1845 for Non-Catholic marriages and all marriages & births started in 1864, so you are going to need Parish records for Maureen's baptism and her parents marriage. |
